Electronic drop bolts or solenoid bolts are mortice drop bolts that operate differently to magnetic locks or shear locks. They are fail safe (Power to operate) and when activated, they retract the drop bolt from its catch to release a door

Electric drop bolt locks are one of the most commonly used locks which are compatible virtually with any access control system and have a very strong holding force, however, due to the initial 'Pull in' current draw of the unit, it is recommended that you use a 2amp 12v dc or 1amp 24v dc power supply

Electric drop bolts are specially designed for use in double acting doors, inward or outward-swinging doors as well as sliding doors
