Electronic drop bolts are mortice electric locks that work somewhat different to standard magnetic locks. They are fail safe (require power to them to operate) and when activated do they retract a drop bolt from its catch to relases a door

Electric drop bolt locks are one of the commonly used locks which are compatible virtually with any access control system and the locks are available in fail-safe and fail-secure applications

Electric drop bolts are specially designed for use in double acting doors. They can also be installed on inward-swinging or outward-swinging doors
